摘要：	The National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) is a unique contract research effort designed to respond to the practical needs of state departments of transportation (DOTs). The Transportation Research Board (TRB) administers the program, for which the state DOTs fund, select, and oversee the research. NCHRP is an applied research program, and every possible effort is made to help administrators and practitioners put the findings to early use in the form of policies, procedures, specifications, and standards. During 2013 NCHRP completed 161 research projects, launched 41 new projects, continued 17 projects, and approved 65 new and continuation projects for 2014. This Summary of Progress provides, in Tables 1 through 6, concise lists of published research and, in Table 7, a list of the 2,812 projects undertaken since 1962. The Summary of Progress also presents detailed information about the operation of NCHRP through the Standing Committee on Research of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).
