摘要: Field operations that require secondary containment structures are often exposed to wind. The airflow patterns around a structure can affect the structure containment level and personnel safety. The wind pressure is calculated to determine the maximum wind speed at which the structure can provide adequate containment. Recommended structural components are described, including testing requirements for verifying adequate containment. The procedure for converting air velocity measurements into actual values is explained.
