Three former employees of the Ashland Oil and Marathon Ashland Petroleum marine department passed away recently. William "Eddie" Mauk, 56, of Ashland, Ky, died on January 28. Mauk had long been a mechanic shift foreman in the Motor Shop of the Ashland Oil Marine Repair Terminal and was a port engineer with Marathon at his retirement. Services were held at Ashland on February 3. Flo Leibee, 83, of Louisa, Ky, died on January 30. Leibee had been a cook aboard the Valvoline for Ashland Oil, continuing into Marathon Ashland and retiring from Marathon Petroleum. Services were held at Louisa on February 4. Survivors include her husband, Paul Leibee, who was also a cook for Ashland aboard the Aetna-Louisville and later the Paul G. Blazer until he retired from Marathon. A son, Mark, is a former pilot with Ashland and Marathon Ashland, and daughter Leigh Ann Mullins was a cook aboard the Ashland and Kentucky for Marathon until that company discontinued the cook position. She is now a cook aboard the Donna H. Furlong for Hines Furlong line. |
