THIRTY YEARS AGO, Jeffboat Inc. launched the 7,200 hp., 170-foot-long Michael Luhr, named after the president of Luhr Bros.; grain tonnages at Mississippi River Lock 27, Ohio River Lock 52 and Arkansas River Lock 1 declined 5 percent; and Hugh Mac Towing Corporation of Kenner, La., purchased St. Louis freight broker STL Industries. |
