Epoxy resin chock specimens were molded from Philadelphia Resins Corporation's product CHOCKFAST ORANGE. The 2" X 2" X 1 1/4" chocks were divided into seven groups of 12 specimens each and subjected to the temperature environments of 21.5℃, 40℃, 80℃, 100℃, 120℃, 160℃, and 200℃ respectively. A single furnace was used to create the proper environment for each elevated temperature group and equal amounts of specimens were removed at regular intervals up to a 120 hour maximum exposure. The specimens were allowed to cool to ambient conditions and then were placed under compressive loading. Stress versus strain plots revealed
increased ultimate compressive strengths but decreased moduli of elasticity for each elevated temperature group.
