TWENTY YEARS AGO, Kasle Metal Processing became the 14th steel-related business to locate at the Port of Indiana-Clark Maritime Center in Jeffersonville, Ind.; Seacor Smit, Houston, Texas, ordered 150-230 hopper barges from Trinity Marine Products for delivery by the end of 2004; and Tri-River Fleeting & Harbor Service, Bethel Park, Pa., added the 3,200 hp. David McAlister to its fleet. THIRTY YEARS AGO, the 65-foot Peconic River Lady began dinner cruises in Riverhead, N.Y.; Service Marine Industries began building a 250-foot-long paddlewheel gaming vessel for Casino America; and the eagerly awaited Casino Queen arrived in East St. Louis, Ill. |
