NOLA Terminal, originally marketed as NOLA Oil Terminal, a planned export terminal located at Mile 59 on the Lower Mississippi River in Plaque-mines Parish, has announced new members of its executive team. Brian Miles, a former traffic management and logistics specialist in the U.S. Air Force, has been named CEO of NOLA Terminal, while Allen Newman, who spent 20 years at International Marine Terminal, is NOLA Terminal's new vice president of commercial operations. Miles previously worked in sales for National Marine Barge Line and MG Transport. He also worked as vice president of sales for United Bulk Terminal and Biehl & Company. Prior to joining NOLA Terminal, Miles was executive vice president at American Maritime Services/American Environment & Industrial Services. Besides his time at International Marine Terminal, Newman served as a logistics manager at United Bulk Terminal. "Under the leadership of Brian and Allen, NOLA Terminal is entering a new and fruitful chapter as we continue to build and expand infrastructure to develop a world-class ship, barge and dock system in Plaquemines Parish," said Christian Amedee, founder and chief operating officer at NOLA Terminal. "They are both fully immersed and well-regarded in the logistics industry and will bring invaluable capabilities and services to our partners and customers in Louisiana and across the country." |
