| 摘要： | Infrastructure is a core component of India's vision of a five trillion dollar economy. It is proven fact that pace of infrastructure growth is directly proportional to the socioeconomic development of the Nation and roads being the most important, forms the arteries of economic development. The role played by road sector in a country's economy is getting more and more attention with every passing year. Over the years, the speed of road construction has become the benchmark for India's infrastructure creation. Planning, construction and maintenance of road infrastructure requires significant investments in terms of time, human resources, money & use of advanced / latest technology. A good road network has an important bearing on the economic growth of a country and emphasis is already laid on development of infrastructure through construction of a sustainable road network in addition to timely maintenance, and rehabilitation activities. |
