The chapters of the guide are set up to address five areas of responsibility of the U.S. Coast Guard including, Maritime Safety, Maritime Security, Protection of Natural Resources, Maritime Mobility, and Homeland Security, and to describe the operational missions the U.S Coast Guard carries out to achieve. these goals. |
