摘要: This report documents the efforts of the University of Virginia's Smart Travel Laboratory (UVA-STL) in a synergistic sponsored program between the ITS Implementation Center and the National Institute of Justice for developing mechanisms to provide the Capital Wireless Integrated Network (CapWIN) participants with meaningful system awareness through unique applications of data fusion and visualization of the state their metropolitan public service wide area network. For our research purposes, the public service network information of interest were the arterial and freeway traffic flow, and the mechanisms for which we sought to provide information assurance monitoring included the still theoretical (though simulated) combined technological components and participants of the Capital Wireless Integrated Network. We describe the overall concept and present the elements of the system and a sample walk through the system.
