| 摘要： | The primary objective of this project is to develop improved ramp metering design and implementation guidelines for use by TxDOT. These guidelines will provide for more effective design> implementation, and maintenance of ramp-metering systems at existing as well as proposed freeway entrance ramps. This report documents the results of Tasks 1 and 2 in the proposed work plan. The purpose of these tasks was to study current ramp-metering operations in Texas and other states. Researchers conducted several field studies as part of a review of the ramp metering operations in Texas. This report also presents a summary of results from these field studies. Finally, this report presents a strategy to complete the remaining research. |
