| 摘要： | This project presents the development of real-time performance measures obtained by using Big Data generated by AVL/GPS systems installed in public transit vehicles merged with transportation demand related data available from other sources, including the Census. This type of synthesized, real-time information can improve decision-making at the operational and planning levels. Using the developed performance measures, the system can be evaluated in real-time during day-to-day operations, as well as in short and medium-term planning. This project was carried out using the data from the Puerto Rico Metropolitan Bus Authority system (AMA, for its acronyms in Spanish), which is the main public transit operator in the San Juan Metropolitan Area of Puerto Rico. |
