Abstract—Autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) provide uniqueopportunities to cope with the uncertainties of distributed energygeneration in distribution networks. But the effects are limited byboth inherent radial topology and the behaviors of decentralizedAEVs. We investigate the potential benefits of dynamic distri-bution network reconfiguration (DDNR),taking into accountAEVs’ spatial-temporal availability and their charging demand.we propose a mixed integer programming model to optimallycoordinate the charging/discharging of AEVs with DDNR, whilesatisfying AEVs’original travel plan. Numerical studies basedon a test system overlaying the IEEE33-node test feederand Sioux Falls transportation network show that DDNR andAEV complement each other, which improves the operation ofdistribution system. We also conduct sensitivity analyses on inputsincluding renewable fluctuation and AEVs penetration level. |
