| 摘要： | This synthesis report will be of interest to programming and planning, design, contract, construction, and maintenance engineers, and others interested in reducing and mitigating the impacts of lane occupancy during construction and maintenance activities. Information for the synthesis was collected by surveying U.S. and Canadian transportation agencies and by conducting a literature search to gather additional information. This report provides the basis for identifying and assessing the techniques, methods, and processes that reduce lane occupancy and mitigates its impact during construction and maintenance. It assesses the types of facilities and projects best suited for their application and identifies current methods used to evaluate and measure their effectiveness in reducing lane occupancy and mitigating its impact on road users, while ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic approaching and traveling through construction and maintenance work zones. |
