| 摘要： | ATSDR recognizes that Port Heiden residents need more information about the possibility of current and future exposures to PCB contaminants in their environment. The community petitioned ATSDR with health and environmental concerns associated with the former radio relay station. Relay stations are known for their use of PCBs as an insulator. Long after the Air Force stopped using the relay station they and the Army Corps of Engineers collected environmental samples. We consolidate and evaluate that data here. The purpose of this Health Consultation is to give community members the information they need to protect their health. Its purpose also is to recommend actions that Defense and other agencies can take where known contamination exists to protect the community’s health. |
