The influence of engineering factors on the geocryological environment has the char acteristic of thermal zone. The predominantly continuous permafrost area can be divided into the low temperature permafrost and the high temperature permafrost zone. In the low tempera ture permafrost zone, the subgrade is stable without taliks under it; while in the high tempera ture permafrost zone, the subgrade is unstable with taliks and plenty of groundwater under it. When geocryological environment changes, the influence of raising temperature of frozen ground with various ice content on the stability of subgrade is different. So the mean annual tempera ture and the ice content are adopted as the key indexes in the highway environment zoning sys tem. In accordance with the characteristics in different permafrost zones the suitable subgrade design principle is chosen, the rational subgrade structure and the suitable countermeasures are decided, making the structures integrate with the environment. |
