In order to predict the service life of asphalt pavement according to its design scheme and establish a quantitative relationship between them,the asphalt pavement durability design method based on rutting prediction was put forward in the paper.The dynamic stability (DS) was measured with single-layer and double-layers indoor wheel tracking test,and the local pavement surface temperature and traffic volume were also considered to establish the predication model of rutting depth on asphalt pavement based on DS value.The durability design method was suggested by comparing the rutting depth predicted by prediction model and local maximum permissible rutting depth of each pavement design scheme.The result shows that the rutting depth of real asphalt pavement can be predicted accurately with using the rutting predication model suggested in this paper.The durability design method of asphalt pavement is valuable for practical road engineering. |
