In this paper, the fuel tank deflector of vehicle was designed based on DFSS design method, and its aerodynamic performance was optimized.In the wind tunnel experiment, the drag coefficient Cd of vehicle was measured, and the velocity field was simulated by CFD.The results show the flow field at the bottom of fuel tank is obviously improved, and the drag coefficient of vehicle is reduced by 0.004 due to using new optimized fuel tank deflector.Thus, the DFSS is the efficient and helpful design method, and it can be used to design and optimize the part of vehicle. |
