The Southern Traffic Incident eXchange (STIX) program was implemented on April 1, 2008 to facilitate incident notification/information sharing between the Southern States (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina) with the hub of the program located in the Atlanta, Georgia traffic management center (TMC). The program's intent is to create a seamless incident management program in the region through multi-state coordination. Continuous enhancements and outreach are required to maintain and support the STIX program. Under this project, STIX will continue operations, and the project team will continue to explore ways to enhance the current system to provide better service to participating stakeholders. They will also identify and address any issues (communication among stakeholders, system utilization, coordination with other I-95 Corridor regions, etc.). |
