| 摘要： | The Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Pilot project at the Ohio State University centers on exploiting automatically sensed data for improving transit planning and operations. This project supports development and demonstration of methods to estimate general traffic patterns from fleets of AVL-equipped buses, i.e., using buses as probes of traffic conditions, and to improve the estimation of traffic conditions by mounting inexpensive traffic sensors on buses, i.e., using buses as mobile platforms for traffic sensing. The project effort includes the development, testing, and validation of strategies to estimate origin-destination passenger flow patterns from automatic vehicle location (AVL), automatic passenger counter (APC), and automated fare collection (AFC) data. |
