December 2021 - Construction on westernmost 9.1 miles of the project (from Glendora to Pomona) should be done by early 2026; December 2020 - Westernmost 9.1 miles of the project (from Glendora to Pomona) is currently undergoing major construction, and the Construction Authority is seeking the additional funding needed to complete the entire project segment to Claremont and Montclair; October 2019 - Construction officially started while Design-Build Contract signed with Kiewit-Parsons JV to complete Glendora - Pomona (Phase I), with a two-year contract option to complete the full project to Montclair (Phase II) if additional funds are secured by October 2021; April 2018 - Project has received USD300mn grant from California State Transportation Agency's (CalSTA) Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP); Project to be implemented in 2 phases and will add new stations to the Metro Gold Line system in the cities of Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont and Montclair |
