| 摘要： | Transportation Demand Management (TDM) has demonstrated significant promise as a tool to mitigate traffic congestion and to increase the efficiency of our highway and transit systems. Unfortunately, Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) does not currently have a strategic plan or clear objectives to guide its TDM activities. The Revised Code for Washington (RCW) provides some direction for Commute Trip Reduction (CTR), but responsibility for broader TDM efforts are not specified in state statute. This study begins to address these issues by developing recommendations on WSDOT's role in TDM and identifying ways for the department to organize and manage its TDM activities. |
