| 项目说明： | September 2021 - Project under planning stage; February 2021 - Trans-Pennine road tunnel between Sheffield and Manchester should be dropped, according to Transport for the North; July 2019 - Project delayed and will now not commence until winter 2021/22; September 2018 - WSP has been appointed by Highways England to undertake a technical study; December 2017 - Tunnel would be shorter than 20 miles (32.1 km) and cheaper to build as per revised proposals and will be presented to Government of United Kingdom by end of 2018; August 2016 - Five possible routes have been shortlisted for proposed Trans-Pennine tunnel between Sheffield and Manchester; Project will cost between - GBP8bn (USD9.93bn) and GBP12bn (USD14.9bn) |
