PPRC14 SPE 4.51B: Binder Replacement in High RAP/RAS Asphalt Mixes (Phase 2: Accelerated Pavement Testing and Field Monitoring)
项目名称: PPRC14 SPE 4.51B: Binder Replacement in High RAP/RAS Asphalt Mixes (Phase 2: Accelerated Pavement Testing and Field Monitoring)
摘要: The objective of this project is to develop guidelines for minimizing the risk of using high reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and/or recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) contents in asphalt concrete mixes. This will be achieved in two phases: Phase 1 in Task 2676 and Phase 2 in Task 2677. Depending on the results of Phase 1 and under the direction of the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Project Steering Committee, Phase 2 includes: Monitoring of field projects where high RAP/RAS contents have been used; Design and construction of a test track to assess potential critical issues identified in Phase 1 with specific reference to rutting and cracking performance; Accelerated pavement testing; Laboratory testing of specimens sampled from the test track and from field projects; Preparation of a project research report and guidelines for the use of high RAP/RAS mixes.
