| 摘要： | This synthesis will support Iowa DOT decision making relative to actively managing access to the primary highway system in order to maintain transportation mobility goals. This effort will query and summarize previous research and case studies that quantify the economic impacts of various levels of access control (pro-active to reactive) along major U.S. roadways or state highways. Potential information sources include the private business community and commercial interests, the traffic engineering profession, urban design and land use planners, and others involved in land development along major roadways. Where available, the impacts of access management on business vitality will be documented and summarized at the corridor level. |
