摘要：	This study will begin with an examination of any newer U.S. driver training effectiveness literature, and will broaden the literature review by including international studies. It will then seek and analyze data obtained from carrier fleets and commercial driver training schools to identify and evaluate safety outcomes associated with different entry level driver training curricula. The project will seek out qualitative perception from these fleets regarding driver safety performance associated with different curricula used to train the drivers they hired. The project will examine whether drivers trained in standardized curriculums (i.e., in Illinois) perform better than drivers who received training from non-standardized sources. Lastly, State data on drivers who received additional State mandated training will be examined.
