摘要: The introduction of modified binders, recycled materials, warm mix asphatl (WMA), and other technologies has resulted in a substantial increase in the complexity of hot mix asphalt placed in the field relative to conventional products due to interactions between the modifiers and other mix components and extension in the range of production temperatures used in the field. As a result, use of conventional viscosity based methods to select mixing and compaction temperatures and evaluation of mix designs based solely on volumetrics is insufficient.
