摘要: | The thesis has been divided into three broad sections. Section-1 comprises of chapter 2 to chapter 5. It is related to Ship Hull Fitting. Chapter-2 gives theoretical background of ship surface generation methods applied. The overview includes the advantages and drawbacks of these methods. This is followed by the description of selected methods and the motivation for the choices. Chapter-3 gives the detailed description of the NURBS formulation used. Chapter-4 defines the method used for ships sections and waterlines curves designing and chapter-5 explains the method used for surface designing. Section-2, comprising of chapter 6 and 7, is related to ship stability.Chapter-6 describes the calculation process applied for ship hydrostatics and initial stability by the software. Chapter-7 describes the method used to compute‘Ship Large Angle Stability' with trim and heel applied. Section-3 comprises of chapter 8, 9 and 10. Chapter-8 briefly explains the working environment of the software, which can be used as reference for using the software. Chapter-9 is dedicated to validation and verification of the code for ship stability. Finally Chapter t0 contains the conclusions and recommendations for the future work. |
