摘要: This project will use traditional techniques and novel methods to determine the effectiveness of various fatigue algorithms including binder and mixture-based predictive algorithms, explore dependency of the fatigue endurance limit on different mix variables, and determine if a fundamental or empirical relationship can be established between Illinois Flexibility Index (I-FIT) testing or other test methods and the fatigue endurance limit. The research will allow Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to refine/improve the current flexible pavement design procedures and policies, resulting in significant economic savings and improve the overall condition of the network.
