PERFORM SURVEILLANCE FOR EMERGING AEROMEDICALLY SIGNIFICANT SEQUELAE OF COVID-19 INFECTION
项目名称: PERFORM SURVEILLANCE FOR EMERGING AEROMEDICALLY SIGNIFICANT SEQUELAE OF COVID-19 INFECTION
摘要: The goal of this research is to carry out a review of the published scientific literature to identify emerging evidence of health impacts to pilots after COVID-19 infection that may impair safety of the NAS and be of importance to FAA aeromedical certification. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which was first identified in China in December 2019. Rapid worldwide spread led to a severe pandemic. A poorly defined proportion of individuals infected by SARS-CoV-2 continue to report impairment long after the acute infection that may result in unsafe piloting performance or incapacitation. This literature is evolving rapidly and will be reflected in periodic white papers.
