Feasibility Analysis and Infrastructure Requirements of Affordable, Shared, and Electric Mobility |
摘要: |
This study assesses the feasibility of providing electric shared electric vehicles (EV) service to middle- and low-income households that live in multi-unit communities in Texas. The feasibility of electric car-sharing services will be demonstrated using a case study of Houston, Texas, with daily travel information collected from the regional travel demand model (TDM). The regional household travel data from the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Activity-based Model (ABM) will be used to identify shared EV trips and scoping the shared EV plans for designated neighborhoods. In addition, key stakeholders, such as local shared mobility service provider, property manager, potential users, and utilities, will be interviewed for understanding the potential barriers and opportunities during the application. The outcome pf this project provides a service plan and cost-benefit assessment for selected neighborhoods and paves the road for a future pilot program. |
