摘要：	This intent of this project is to evaluate the efficacy and reliability of mobile road weather information systems (mRWIS) and their role in monitoring anti-icing applications, particularly the longevity of the application, and determine the extent to which mRWIS can be used as a decision making tool for anti-icing operations. There are several mRWIS technologies on the market and are rapidly evolving in their capabilities. Newer versions of mRWIS also purport to provide measurements of road surface salinity. The University of Alaska, Fairbanks (UAF) Transportation Research and Printable (TRAP) Lab has been able to successfully use hyperspectral imagingin a laboratory setting to measure quantity and concentration of anti-icing chemical solution.
