| 摘要： | Ridesharing (also called ridehailing) refers to the business of using mobile phone apps to dispatch, route, and facilitate payment for on-demand, for-hire service. Its use has phenomenally grown since the first Uber ride occurred in July 2010. Ridesharing’s phenomenal growth has challenged cities. Although establishing causation from sparse data is difficult, some researchers have shown that ridesharing raises auto congestion and has cut into transit ridership in some places. The research team shall provide a clear and comprehensive resource on rideshare taxation for Illinois policymakers who are thinking about levying taxes on rideshare services. |
