Implications of Accessible Automated Vehicles and Mobility Services for People with Disabilities
项目名称: Implications of Accessible Automated Vehicles and Mobility Services for People with Disabilities
摘要: This research seeks to establish the “Automated vehicle Services for People with disabilities – Involved Responsive Engineering” (ASPIRE) Center. This Center will investigate the implications of accessible automated vehicles and mobility services for people with disabilities and their caregivers by conducting three related projects. The three projects are: 1) a systematic literature review to describe the current state of the science, 2) a Voice of the Consumer and Provider survey, journey mapping, and focus groups which elicit input from all key stakeholders on their experiences with, barriers to, and future needs and capabilities for accessible automated transportation, and 3) a project that presents summary findings, extrapolates findings to the greater population of potential automated vehicle users, combines our data with publicly available datasets to understand factors that influence travel, displays clusters of users based on their characteristics and needs, and develops solid model drawings that illustrate key features and parameters for implementing automated vehicles and mobility services.
