| 摘要： | The objective of this project is to provide the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) with a performance test to measure the susceptibility of a stabilized support layer to erosion mechanisms. The project will evaluate the existing methods in literature and then develop a test method and criteria for assessing the erosion potential of asphalt- or cement-stabilized layers that support concrete pavement. The developed performance test and criteria will assist pavement engineers in assessing whether a concrete overlay can be placed on top of an existing asphalt pavement without potential for premature support erosion. This project will be closely aligned with R27-193-5, focusing on the limits of the use of granular foundation layers beneath concrete pavements. |
