| 摘要： | In November 2010, data from the UK MOT (vehicle inspection) test were released into the public domain for the first time, with further releases since then. This has led to an ongoing stream of work in the UK by both the UK Department for Transport, and as part of a Research Councils UK Energy Programme project, in order to explore the potential offered by such data to investigate issues relating to vehicle ownership and use, energy consumption and emissions generation. This paper reviews the available literature about the practices of vehicle inspection around the world, in order to understand whether analytical techniques being developed in the UK have the potential to be useful elsewhere; the similarities and differences in the types of data collected through vehicle inspection regimes elsewhere; the types of analyses that have previously been conducted using vehicle inspection information; and the potential uses for the data in the future. |
