| 摘要： | This manual presents a process to manage roadway sites beneath which abandoned underground mines exist. The process is comprised of four basic activities: (1) the establishment of an inventory of all roadway sites beneath which abandoned underground mines may exist; (2) the assessment of the risk to safety of the traveling public which each site represents (3) the remediation of sites, if necessary, and ; (4) the permanent monitoring of sites. The process can be applied to one or all sites within a state. The principles and the basic risk management process documented in this manual can also provide a basic framework into which other states might insert their own state-specific criteria to produce a risk management system for similar geologic conditions such as karst or for other geologic hazards. |
