摘要：	This digest presents an overview of the ninth International Transit Studies Program (ITSP) mission. The 2-week mission involved visits to and discussions with transportation providers in Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand and Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, Australia. The report includes information on the cities visited, lessons learned, and discussions of policies and practices that could be applied in the United States. The contents of this digest are presented under the following topics: International Transit Studies Program; Revitalizing Urban Public Transport in Australia and New Zealand: Mission 9, October 30 to November 15, 1998; Policy Overview; Planning; Transit Priority Programs; Accessibility; Fuels Policies; Passenger Terminals and Downtown Circulation; Fare Collection; and Concluding Observations.
