| 摘要： | The Pennsylvania Turnpike's Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Early Deployment Project is following the basic ITS planning process established by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The essence of the ITS planning process is to develop each ITS program on the basis of the needs of the users and operators of the transportation facilities. The Strategic Deployment Plan is the final step of the ITS planning process. This plan provides guidance for ITS technologies to be incorporated into the Pennsylvania Turnpike's transportation improvement projects. The plan outlines the steps taken as part of the ITS planning process including results of interviews, data collection activities, and analyses. The plan also identifies various projects incorporating ITS application, their phasing, priorities, and how they help meet the goals and objectives identified in the User Service Plan. This Executive Summary briefly summarizes each section of the Strategic Deployment Plan. |
