摘要：	In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, numerous communities voiced concerns regarding the rail movement of hazardous materials through their jurisdictions. What began as a patchwork of proposed prohibitions of such movements has now emerged as a federal policy debate. The proposed research will use sophisticated rail routing software to better understand the array of effects that might be expected if such prohibitions are, in fact, sanctioned.
