| 摘要： | This paper presents the history, future opportunities, and technological changes of light rail transit. The future opportunities for light rail that are discussed include its influence on urban form, concentrated development around stations, multimodal corridors, partnerships, new passenger markets, facilitation of multimodal connections, and phase implementation of lines. Technological changes listed include light rail vehicles, barrier free proof-of-payment (POP) fare collections, track and roadbed, and traction electrification. |
