It will replace the existing site in Meadow Road, where the council has a longer term aspiration to redevelop the area for residential use, once flood prevention works take place. The new depot site is on former industrial land in Stores Road, about a 1.5km drive from the current depot. As with many such sites, covered accommodation will be limited to the workshops and staff rooms, with open-air parking for 142 buses. |
