摘要: Novice drivers aged 18 to 25 are over-represented in road accidents in Australia and overseas. This is due in part to poorly-developed risk perception skills. This paper describes a driving simulator experiment which compared the effectiveness of two training techniques in enhancing the risk perception skills of novice car drivers: avoidance learning and mediated instruction. Mediated instruction was found to be superior and resulted in skill transfer for at least a week after training. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see IRRD abstract no. E200232.
