| 摘要： | Gellibrand Pier, the only crude oil handling facility at the Port of Melbourne, is currently leased to Mobil Oil Australia Limited. Despite periodic maintenance, the berthing dolphins have deteriorated to the point that they have recently been downgraded. Two new berthing dolphins have been designed and constructed catering for vessels of up to 290 metres long with a maximum displacement of 110,000 tonne. Innovative construction procedures were devised to undertake all works between naturally occurring vessel visits thus avoiding any inconvenience to the user of the facility. |
