| 摘要： | The Japanese electronic toll collection system is planned to use two-piece type on-board units which consist of a unit body and an IC (integrated circuit) card. Japanese ETC (electronic toll collection) clearing scheme will introduce post payment system at the first phase. Credit card payment clearing system which is commonly used in the daily financial transactions is to be adopted in order to provide easier membership access and promote drivers' ETC use. The authorities have modified and tailored the already established common credit card clearing system for the use of ETC toll clearing, considering special conditions of ETC financial transactions. They have authorized a new financial clearing system flow of the ETC from issuing IC cards through actual collection of charged tolls. (A*) For the covering abstract see ITRD E110327. |
