| 摘要： | The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) TransGuide System was selected by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to serve as a showcase for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSs) under the Model Deployment Initiative (MDI) program. A primary goal of the TransGuide MDI was to integrate a number of ITS technologies (including both technologies new to TransGuide and multi-modal technologies) to create a seamless, robust ITS "showcase" system. This paper discusses the various ITS technologies and environments that were integrated into TransGuide during the MDI program; also included are a number of integration success (and failure) stories that occurred as a result of the program.
