摘要: Honda has established a platooning system, in which vehicles follow a lead vehicle without depending on the road infrastructure, by combining navigation system and the platooning system with vehicle-to-vehicle communication and radar sensing systems. It is such a system that a manually controlled lead vehicle is followed by vehicles which automatically run by tracing the trace line of the lead vehicle. As a result, the maximum of five vehicles including the lead vehicle with the minimum vehicle-tovehicle distance of 2 meters were able to run at the maximum speed of 100km/h. The follow-up capability was within ?.3m in the longitudinal direction and ?.2m in the lateral direction. In this paper, the test result and effectiveness on the details of the automatically following the lead vehicle system which Honda proposes is reported.
