| 摘要： | Electronic payment systems (EPS) applications in transportation represent a potentially large market for many EPS equipment manufacturers and system integrators to introduce their products and services. Since EPS functions span across different modes of transportation and relate to a variety of transportation operations this ITS User Service provides exceptionally good business opportunities for innovative technology-oriented companies. From a transportation operator perspective, the main objectives of using EPS are to increase its revenues (or lower costs) and to enhance customer satisfaction with using transportation services. A simple analysis of all capital and operating costs associated with an EPS investment could serve as a good starting point in assessing potential business opportunities of investing in EPS as well as in forecasting transportation EPS market capacity and market growth rates. The successful development and deployment of EPS applications in various sectors of the economy can also be considered as strong indicators of good business opportunities of investing in transportation EPS projects. |
