| 摘要： | Operating agencies all over the world, including many countries in Asia, are currently developing and implementing computerized traffic management and control systems to improve freeway, expressway, and tunnel operations. An advanced and integrated traffic management approach is essential to future freeway, expressway, and arterial network usage. This study was to assess the feasible Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies, based on the recent worldwide development experience, on the national freeways and expressways in Taiwan, Republic of China (R.O.C.). This paper presents the specific recommendations from the ITS system planning efforts during the freeway traffic management system design as the next step to improve transportation service in the 21st Century [1]. |
