| 摘要： | In this paper, the major reasons for using video detection for traffic monitoring and incident detection are discussed. Video detection is presented as the means by excellence to provide correct traffic data for both a reactive and a pro-active traffic management. A brief overview of Traficon detection algorithms is offered as a real world illustration of video detection principles. Video detection can be used in tunnels, on highways and at intersections. Installation and maintenance requirements essentially focus on the camera. To conclude information on accuracy is provided. |
